In China celebrate the new year, called Spring Festival, usually in February. However, the spirit of Spring Festival is very similar to Christmas in the sense of family reunion.
The most important activity for Chinese traditional family is the family dinner before the Chinese new year. Dishes are typically many and very varied, while the north people usually find ravioli in their spring festival dinner.
Besides the food, we have also lantern festival in new year season, under each lantern there is a puzzle, anyone who solves the puzzle will win a little gift.
Traditionally, the eve of lantern festival is also circumstance for young people to date their lovers.
