Aerospace & Defence Business Unit Manager Dallara

Italian Air Force (ItAF) Brigadier General (Reserve) Alessio Grasso served in the Italian Air Force from 1988 to 2021. Currently, he is engaged in advisory and consulting activities within the Aerospace and Defense sector. Notably, he serves as the Aerospace & Defense Business Unit Manager at Dallara since February 2021. In this capacity, he is actively exploring market opportunities that promote the integration of innovative products and processes from the Racing sector into the Aerospace, Space, and Defense domains. He left the Italian Air Force after ending his command post as Director of the Naples Territorial Technical Office of the National Armaments Directorate – Air Armaments and Airworthiness Directorate where he was in charge of procurement activities for air military platforms and equipment and Government Quality Assurance of A&D’s industries in the geographical area of competence (from Tuscany to Sicily). From 2016 to 2017 he was the Head of the “Industrial Participations” Office for the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) Program Directorate at the National Armaments Directorate.He was also responsible to promote cooperation between Italy and the United States of America, regarding Research and Technology, Programs and Tests for all Defense Services. General Grasso joined the Italian Air Force Academy in 1988 where he graduated in 1994 in aeronautical engineering.
