Alberto Pizzoferrato is a Full Professor at the Law Department of the University of Bologna, where he teaches Labour Law in Italian in the Law Department, and in English in the international course of Legal Studies. He is the Treasurer of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (ISLSSL).
Since 2004, he has been the Scientific Director of the Professional Master in Labour Law at the University of Bologna, now in its 20th edition. Together with Franco Carinci, he co-edits one of the main Labour Law manuals of the European Union, published by Giappichelli (Turin), and is the author of more than 165 scientific publications (including 4 monographs, essays, commentaries, and case notes), as well as numerous other popular publications in journals and newspapers. He is the co-director of the A-class journal “Argomenti di diritto del lavoro” and a member of several scientific committees, peer review boards, and editorial boards of leading legal journals (Rivista italiana di diritto del lavoro, Il Lavoro nelle Pubbliche amministrazioni, Il Diritto del Mercato del lavoro, Italian Labour Law e-journal). He also teaches at numerous public and private institutions (including BBS, ILO, INPS, etc.). He has been a speaker at over 250 international and national conferences in the past decade and is the scientific coordinator of the “Bertinoro Seminars” promoted by the Department of Law of the University of Bologna.
He has represented, on behalf of trade associations, unions, public entities, in-house companies, consortia, and private companies, about a thousand cases concerning private and public employment relationships, anti-union conduct, public competitions, revocation of corporate administrative powers, exclusion of partners, etc., before Italian Courts of merit and legitimacy and before the EU Court of Justice. He has also participated, as a member appointed by the President of the Court or by permanent arbitration chambers, in arbitration boards regarding disciplinary sanctions appeals, dismissal appeals, and exclusion from partnerships, commercial distribution contracts, procurement contracts, and other atypical commercial contracts. He is and has been a permanent labour law consultant for significant public entities and private companies. He is a member of the National Board of the AIDLASS Forense Association.
L’obiettivo del corso è fornire agli studenti una panoramica ragionata e con molti casi concreti sulle dinamiche della gestione delle relazioni sindacali e industriali viste come leva competitiva e come fattore condizionante della strategia aziendale e della gestione del consenso all’interno delle aziende e del territorio. Cosa sono e a cosa servono le relazioni industriali; gli attori del processo (Sindacati, Associazioni Imprenditoriali ecc.) e le loro interazioni; la negoziazione sindacale e le sue regole; uno sguardo alle diverse realtà internazionali della negoziazione sindacale. Inoltre, saranno presentate agli studenti le principali regole HR in Italia, in riferimento sia alla regolamentazione aziendale, sia a quella dell’impiego, nel quadro della legge UE.
